Wednesday Training this week a go.

Hello from Winnipeg everyone,

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions on locations for ultimate
this Wednesday.
The place that seems the most central for everyone is (And I quote
directly from James)

SpringHurst Park:
Close to Lees and Main (near 417). Had many early practices here over
the years. It's a free city park, usually other ulty teams practice
here, so its social. It's not used by OCUA or the city for actually
sports rentals, so they don't care if we're on too early. And what's
best, is its close to the Royal Oak on the Canal at Colonel By and
Hawthorne. Also, it's a pretty central location with lots of free
parking.

I drove by the field on Thursday and it looked just fine to have a practice on.

So I will be there for 6:30PM Wednesday (April 23rd), if there is any
problems where the practice needs to be cancelled, I will try and get
a hold of everyone via email.
If you prefer I can take your phone numbers and try and get a hold of
you via phone if there is any reason to cancel (probably just bad
weather).

To those who are just coming out for drinks, we will be hitting (as
mentioned above) the Royal Oak just down the street from SpringHurst
park.

New team fees.

With 15 people the new team fees are $80.50 each.
So $80.50 cheque or $81 cash, cheque preferred but not necessary.

Welcome to the team April and Jenn,
We are happy to have you :).

We are now a complete team, and since we have an extra girl, the fees will be slightly reduced, YAY.

Wednesday Ultimate.... wednesday training and meet and greet

As I mentioned in my email, I would like to have a meet and greet next week Wednesday (April 23rd).
And some training for the newer players, (everyone is welcome to join).
I hope I can find a field that is acceptable and not soggy, I am sure I can find something, as my back yard is pretty dry already. If not I may postpone the training portion until there is an acceptable field and just skip to the meet and greet.

That makes for a slightly uneven $86.25 each.
I will accept cash rounded up to $88 or cheques at $86.25.

Still actively looking for two girls

Hey all, it's been awhile since I have posted, so I thought an update was in order :).

I have been a little busy the past few weeks, between planning a trip to Europe this summer and looking for a new house in town with Karilee, and getting my house ready to sell, I have neglected regular postings on this site like I intended.

Not really much has changed, I have still be actively looking for girls, and have 3 possibilities right now to fill our two empty slots.

I will introduce them on the blog when/if they have confirmed.
If you know of any girls that would like to join the team, by all means please invite them, first come first serve.

I have been at intermediate Thursday night ultimate training the past few weeks (which has been very informative and fun), and it seems to be a good place to ask people.
I hit up a few of the coaches but unfortunately no luck there yet, but two of the girls getting coached may be interested.

I will let you know if anything new transpires, feel free to toss me an email if you have any questions :).

James or Chris (I wonder who will read this first) would either of you like to take over team name .. stuff, Chris I really liked the askmetafilter, and James the vote for your favourite hollyisms before was awesome. First one of you to post in the comments gets it. :)
